A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice as a doctor in the relevant country or region.
Experience
1-5 years of post-internship experience in clinical practice, with a focus on internal medicine, geriatrics, or emergency medicine preferred.
Resident Care:
Provide daily medical care to residents, managing both chronic and acute conditions.
Conduct regular health assessments and monitor vital signs of residents to track their health status.
Administer medications as prescribed by the consulting physician or Chief Medical Officer.
Emergency Response:
Act as the first responder to medical emergencies within the facility (e.g., falls, cardiac issues, respiratory distress).
Provide immediate stabilization and emergency care until further treatment or specialist attention is available.
Coordinate with external healthcare services (e.g., ambulance, hospital) when residents require off-site medical attention
Medical Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of residents, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication charts.
Ensure proper documentation of all incidents, medical interventions, and resident health status for compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaboration with Healthcare Teams
:
Work closely with nurses, therapists, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
Communicate regularly with the Chief Medical Officer and consulting physicians regarding residents' health and treatment plans.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review and update resident care plans
Routine Medical Procedures:
Perform routine procedures such as wound care, IV insertions, catheterization, and blood sampling as required.
Ensure regular monitoring of residents with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory disorders.
Oversee the administration of treatments like oxygen therapy, nebulization, or intravenous medications
Liaison with Families
:
Communicate with residents' families regarding their loved ones' health, treatment, and any significant changes in their medical status.
Address concerns and provide clarity on medical issues, ensuring families are informed and involved in the care process.
Support in Palliative and End-of-Life Care
:
Assist in providing palliative care and support for residents nearing the end of life.
Ensure comfort measures are in place, and work with families on end-of-life decisions, respecting the dignity and wishes of the resident.
