We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to oversee operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and uphold our commitment to eco-luxury.

Job Summary:

The Duty Manager is responsible for managing the hotel's daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring seamless service delivery, guest satisfaction, and adherence to 5-star standards. This role involves supervising staff, resolving guest concerns, driving sustainability initiatives, and maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced, luxury environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience Excellence:

Deliver personalized, high-touch service to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction in line with 5-star standards. Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring positive resolutions. Monitor guest feedback through reviews and surveys, implementing strategies to elevate the guest experience.

Operational Leadership:

Oversee daily operations of all departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and concierge services, during assigned shifts. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure impeccable presentation and functionality. Coordinate with department heads to streamline operations and address any challenges swiftly.

Team Supervision:

Lead, motivate, and supervise shift staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service. Conduct pre-shift briefings, allocate tasks, and ensure compliance with hotel policies and luxury service standards. Identify training needs and collaborate with HR to enhance staff skills and performance.

Sustainability Commitment:

Champion The Fern's eco-friendly initiatives, including energy conservation, water management, and waste reduction programs. Educate staff and guests on sustainable practices to align with the hotel's Ecotel certification. Monitor and report on sustainability metrics to ensure compliance with environmental goals.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and fire regulations, conducting regular safety audits and emergency drills. Respond to emergencies or incidents promptly, following established protocols and maintaining detailed records. Uphold all legal and brand standards for a 5-star property.

Financial Oversight:

Monitor shift revenue, including room sales, F&B outlets, and spa services, ensuring accurate billing and reporting. Optimize operational costs by managing resources efficiently while maintaining luxury standards. Assist in preparing shift reports and contributing to financial performance reviews.
Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 - 8 years in hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a 4-star or 5-star property.

Skills:

Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on luxury guest interactions. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments. Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, Innkey PMS) and MS Office. Knowledge of sustainability practices in luxury hospitality is highly desirable.
