Manage VIP arrivals, departures, and special amenities.
2. Front Office Operations
Oversee daily
front office operations
including reception, concierge, and bell desk.
Ensure smooth
check-in and check-out
processes.
Monitor room status, occupancy levels, and coordinate with housekeeping.
Ensure proper cash handling, billing accuracy, and night audit support (if required).
3. Staff Supervision
Supervise, motivate, and guide front office staff during the shift.
Prepare duty rosters and manage staff attendance.
Conduct briefings and ensure staff follow
standard operating procedures (SOPs)
.
Train new staff and provide on-the-job coaching.
4. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with other departments such as
Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and F&B
.
Communicate operational issues and guest concerns to department heads.
Ensure effective shift handovers and logbook maintenance.
5. Safety & Security
Act as the
manager on duty
responsible for overall hotel safety.
Handle emergency situations (fire, medical, evacuation) according to hotel policy.
Ensure compliance with hotel safety, security, and legal requirements.
6. Administrative & Reporting Duties
Prepare daily operational reports and incident reports.
Monitor guest feedback and online reviews, when assigned.
Assist in forecasting room availability and managing overbooking situations.
7. Revenue & Quality Control
Upsell rooms and hotel services where appropriate.
Monitor room rates, upgrades, and walk-in reservations.
Ensure compliance with brand standards and quality audits.
