Position Overview
A DTP (Desktop Publishing) Operator in a school is responsible for creating, designing, formatting, and printing academic and administrative materials. The role ensures that all school documents--such as worksheets, exam papers, brochures, and certificates--are accurate, well-designed, and ready on time.

Key Responsibilities
1. Document Designing & Formatting
Create and format worksheets, question papers, notes, and study materials.
Design certificates, report cards, ID cards, and school forms.
Prepare brochures, pamphlets, banners, and posters for school events.
Ensure consistency in fonts, layouts, and templates.
2. Printing & Production
Operate printers, copiers, scanners, and binding machines.
Manage bulk printing of exam papers, circulars, and notices.
Ensure timely delivery of printed materials to teachers and departments.
Maintain print quality and troubleshoot minor printing issues.
3. Content Editing & Proofreading
Proofread documents for errors in spelling, formatting, and alignment.
Apply corrections as per teacher or administrative guidelines.
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality--especially for exams.
4. File & Template Management
Organize digital files, backups, and templates for easy access.
Maintain archives of previous year's question papers, worksheets, and reports.
Update document designs as per academic requirements or branding needs.
5. Coordination
Work closely with teachers, admin staff, and the Principal's office.
Understand design requirements and deliver materials within deadlines.
Coordinate with printing vendors when external printing is needed.
6. Equipment Maintenance
Ensure printers, computers, and related devices are functioning.
Report technical issues to IT/maintenance teams.
