The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. Purpose of the role


The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and strong D&T Manager for Software Engineering team with 12+ years of experience to manage the team of software engineers, tech leads. Candidate should have minimum 5+ years of experience as a manger leading a team size of medium to large. Should have strong ability to see the whole picture and to focus on the important details in a pragmatic and result oriented way. Should have experience development using Microsoft.Net tech stack (C#, ASP.net Core, .Net Core, API development) and JavaScript based frameworks like ReactJS, Angular. Proven track record in designing and developing high quality, scalable and performant applications in alignment with organisation goals. Strong people management skills with focus on hiring, attracting, and retaining right talent for the development team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Mentor and guide team in achieving individual and organisation goals. Hiring and grooming team members. Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Manage mid-year and annual performance feedback discussions. Plan, prioritize and execute development activities across multiple teams. Reviews project scope and requirements to determine the necessary level of work and to staff projects properly thereby taking care of resource management. Provide support and coaching for direct reports. Develop and increase team performance and collaboration across organization. Effectively manage vendor engagements there by taking care of vendor contractor resource onboarding and offboarding. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and recognize achievements to boost engagement and retention.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education - Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered) Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant discipline Minimum 12 years of proven work experience in Software Development Projects. Minimum 5 years of experience in managing mid-to-large software engineering teams (

team size 15+).

Decent understanding in OOPS programming concepts and experience in programming languages like C#, JavaScript. Demonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews. Experience and understanding of unit test frameworks such as NUnit, XUnit, Api Testing, Cloud Native Microservices development and CI/CD pipelines. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities. Strong understanding of the SDLC and multiple software engineering and testing methodologies. Good understanding in SQL and decent database programming. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages. Experience with issue tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

GCP certification Microservices, API Application Development. * Technologies - Google Cloud Platform, Big Data, AI/ML, Data Warehouse, ETL, Data Architecture.
