Job Summary



We are seeking an experienced Drywall (Cold Formed Steel) Design Engineer based in Pune to support projects in the U.S. with the design, analysis, and documentation of drywall and interior partition systems. The role involves producing code-compliant engineering deliverables for U.S. commercial and institutional projects while working closely with U.S. based engineers, architects, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities



? Develop engineered cold formed steel design, especially drywall and interior partition system designs for American projects.
? Prepare detailed construction drawings, system layouts, and specifications for gypsum board and metal stud framing systems.
? Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. building codes and standards, including IBC & ASTM.
? Perform engineering calculations related to load, deflection, seismic restraint, and serviceability of drywall assemblies.
? Produce fire-rated, acoustically rated (STC), moisture-resistant, and impact-resistant wall and ceiling assemblies.
? Review and respond to shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs under the direction of U.S. licensed engineers.? Coordinate drywall systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection elements.
? Support value engineering initiatives and constructability reviews.
? Maintain documentation standards aligned with U.S. client requirements and QA/QC procedures.
? Communicate effectively with U.S. based teams across time zones.

Required Qualifications



? Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
? 2+ years of experience in drywall or cold formed steel engineering, interior systems design, or building systems engineering.
? Hands-on experience supporting U.S. construction and engineering projects.
? Strong understanding of gypsum board systems, metal stud framing, and interior wall assemblies.
? Working knowledge of U.S. building codes and standards.
? Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
? Ability to interpret U.S. architectural and structural drawings.
? Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications



? Experience working in an offshore delivery or outsourcing model for U.S. engineering firms.
? Familiarity with seismic and wind design requirements for non-structural components per American codes & standards.? Experience with healthcare, commercial, or high-rise projects.
? Exposure to QA/QC processes used by engineering consultants.

Reporting & Compliance



? Works under the technical supervision of U.S. licensed Professional Engineers (PEs).
? Engineering output supports licensed engineers and does not constitute independent U.S. engineering practice.

Work Environment



? Remote collaboration with U.S. based clients and internal teams.
? Flexible work hours to support U.S. time zones as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
