The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years' practical experience repairing and maintaining multirotor and fixed-wing drones, strong diagnostics skills, and the ability to work independently on hardware and firmware issues. This is a shop + field-facing role that requires good mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with common drone platforms and components.

Perform routine maintenance, pre-flight and post-flight inspections, and component replacements.
Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical failures (soldering, connector replacements, wiring harness repairs).
Update and flash firmware, calibrate IMU/compass/ESCs and perform sensor calibrations and GNSS checks.
Test repaired units (bench tests and test flights) and certify airworthiness before handover.
Maintain accurate repair logs, parts inventory records, and service reports.
Suggest and implement small design/improvement fixes to reduce repeat failures.
Support field deployments -- on-site troubleshooting, quick turnarounds and client demos when required.
Follow safety procedures for battery handling, ESD, and workshop best practices.
Required skills & qualifications
1-2 years of hands-on experience repairing/maintaining drones, UAVs, or similar RC/electronic platforms.
Good understanding of drone subsystems: flight controllers (e.g., Pixhawk, DJI), ESCs, brushless motors, power distribution, telemetry, and payloads.
Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, multimeter use, soldering & rework.
Experience with firmware flashing, flight controller configuration (e.g., Mission Planner, QGroundControl, DJI Assistant) and sensor calibration.
Comfortable performing and clearing test flights; able to interpret flight logs for fault diagnosis.
Basic mechanical skills (prop balancing, gimbal alignment, mount repairs).
Strong attention to detail, methodical record-keeping and safety awareness.
Good communication skills (to explain issues to non-technical clients) and ability to work independently.
Must be based in Pune or willing to relocate to Pune.
Desirable
Formal diploma/certification in Electronics, Aeronautical Technology, Mechatronics, or similar.
Prior experience with DJI ecosystem (Mavic/Phantom/Matice/Enterprise) and open autopilots.
Knowledge of battery testing/health assessment and safe LiPo handling.
Experience using diagnostic tools and flight log analysis tools.
Valid drone pilot license or permissions (if applicable to local regulations).
Tools / equipment
Candidate should be familiar with and able to use: multimeter, soldering station, hot air rework, battery tester, prop balancer, basic hand tools, and ground test rigs. Company will provide specialized equipment as required.
