IPage Group is hiring a full-time Drone Simulator Developer to work on a production-grade drone training and simulation platform. This role focuses on building real-time, physics-based drone simulation systems using both Unity and Unreal Engine.
The developer will be responsible for implementing accurate multirotor flight behavior, integrating real-world controls, and developing training and mission scenarios used in drone pilot training and industry applications.
This is not a game development role. Candidates must have hands-on experience with simulation and real-time physics.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain drone simulator modules using Unity and Unreal Engine
Implement real-time drone flight physics including thrust, drag, gravity, torque, and inertia
Build multirotor behavior for takeoff, landing, hovering, yaw, pitch, and roll
Integrate joystick, RC controller, keyboard, and mouse inputs
Develop training scenarios and simulator workflows
Implement collision detection, terrain interaction, and altitude handling
Optimize performance for stable real-time simulation
Debug and refine physics behavior for accuracy and consistency
Work closely with drone trainers and technical teams
Required Skills
Strong experience in Unity (C#)
Strong experience in Unreal Engine (Blueprint and or C++)
Solid understanding of real-time physics systems
Experience with physics-based movement, not animation-driven motion
Strong grasp of vectors, forces, transforms, and time-based updates
Ability to write clean and maintainable code
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of drone or UAV flight dynamics
Experience with PID control systems
Hardware controller integration experience
Background in simulators, training systems, or serious games
Experience with aviation, robotics, or vehicle simulation
Education
B.Tech, B.E, M.Tech, MCA, B.Sc, BCA in Computer Science, Electronics, Robotics, Aerospace, or related fields
Equivalent practical experience will be considered
Experience
2 to 6 years of experience in Unity and Unreal-based simulation or real-time systems
Previous work on drone, flight, or vehicle simulation is strongly preferred
