A Route Sales Driver is responsible for delivering products to assigned customers along a specific route while maintaining strong customer relationships, managing inventory, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role involves driving a company vehicle, merchandising products, and promoting sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Sales
Deliver products to customers along an established route.
Ensure accurate and timely deliveries according to the schedule.
Customer Service
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally.
Provide product recommendations based on customer needs.
Inventory & Merchandising
Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle.
Maintain proper stock levels and rotate inventory to prevent spoilage.
Arrange and display products according to company merchandising standards.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean and in good working condition.
Follow all safety and traffic regulations while driving.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience in route sales, delivery driving, or customer service is an advantage.
Ability to lift and carry products (may vary by company).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:
Frequently required to drive for extended periods.
Exposure to various weather conditions while delivering products.
