Job Summary

The Patient Transport / Healthcare Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation of patients, medical staff, equipment, and supplies between hospital sites, residential locations, and external healthcare facilities. The role ensures vehicle readiness, compliance with healthcare standards, and adherence to traffic and safety regulations while maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Transport

Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, wards, residences, and other healthcare facilities. Assist patients with boarding and exiting vehicles when required, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. Support patients with special mobility or medical needs as directed by healthcare staff.

Vehicle Operations

Operate ambulances, vans, and cars in accordance with traffic laws, hospital policies, and defensive driving practices. Drive in various weather and traffic conditions while maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism.

Vehicle Maintenance and Hygiene

Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checks of fluids, tires, brakes, lights, and safety equipment. Ensure vehicles and medical transport equipment are clean, sanitized, and maintained to healthcare hygiene standards. Report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
