Job Description

:

Patient Transportation:

Safely driving patients to and from medical appointments, clinics, or other facilities, providing assistance with loading and unloading.

Emergency Response:

For ambulance drivers, responding to emergency calls, transporting patients to hospitals, and providing basic first aid or life support as needed.

Equipment & Supply Delivery:

Transporting medical supplies, equipment, lab specimens, and medical records between facilities or to and from suppliers.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Performing routine vehicle checks, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and ensuring all safety equipment is functional.

Record Keeping:

Accurately documenting patient information, mileage, trip details, and any incidents or accidents.

Adherence to Protocols:

Following hospital transport protocols, traffic laws, and safety regulations.

Communication:

Maintaining professional communication with dispatch, medical personnel, and patients to coordinate schedules and address concerns.
Required Skills

Valid driver's license suitable for the vehicle type. Proven experience as a driver with a clean driving record. Familiarity with local routes and hospitals. Knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
