Job Description

The Drivers Manager is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing company drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation operations. This role focuses on driver performance, compliance, scheduling, training, and maintaining high service standards while optimizing costs and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Driver Management

Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise drivers Assign routes, shifts, and schedules efficiently Monitor driver attendance, behavior, and performance Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
Operations & Scheduling

Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly driver schedules Ensure timely pickups, deliveries, or transport services Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce fuel costs
Safety & Compliance

Ensure drivers comply with company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations Monitor driving behavior (speeding, violations, accidents) Investigate incidents, accidents, and violations Ensure licenses, permits, and certifications are valid and up to date Conduct safety meetings and refresher training
Fleet & Asset Coordination

Coordinate vehicle availability with maintenance teams Report vehicle issues and ensure timely servicing Monitor fuel usage and vehicle condition
Reporting & Administration

Maintain accurate driver records and documentation Prepare reports on driver performance, fuel usage, incidents Track absences, and productivity metrics Support payroll and HR with driver-related data
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or bachelor's degree in logistics, operations, or related field (preferred) 8-10 years experience managing drivers or transport operations Valid driver's license (commercial preferred) Strong knowledge of traffic laws and transport regulations
