Job Description

:

The Driver in the automobile industry is responsible for safely transporting vehicles, customers, spare parts, documents, and staff as required. The role includes vehicle movement within the workshop, delivery of vehicles to customers, and ensuring proper care of company/demo vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and deliver spare parts, documents, invoices, or accessories between branches or vendors. Maintain a daily logbook for kilometers, fuel usage, and vehicle movements. Perform routine checks on vehicles (fuel, oil, tyre pressure, battery, lights). Report any damages, scratches, or mechanical issues immediately to the supervisor. Keep the assigned vehicle clean and ensure all documents (RC, insurance, PUC) are up-to-date. Follow all traffic rules, company policies, and safety guidelines while driving. Use seat belts and ensure safe driving practices at all times. Avoid rash or careless driving within the workshop premises.

Skills & Qualifications

Valid LMV or commercial driving license. Minimum 1-3 years of driving experience (automobile industry experience preferred). Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations. Ability to handle different types of vehicles (manual/automatic). Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge. Good communication, discipline, and customer-handling skills.
