Key responsibilities

Transport:

Safely and punctually transport patients, staff, or medical supplies to and from designated locations.

Patient care:

Provide comfort and support to patients during transport, assisting with entry/exit, and using mobility devices like wheelchair ramps when necessary.

Vehicle maintenance:

Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and perform basic upkeep to ensure it is in good condition.

Logistics:

Plan efficient routes and adhere to schedules to ensure timely arrivals.

Record keeping:

Maintain accurate records of all transports.

Emergency response:

Think quickly and make sound decisions in unexpected situations like traffic delays or medical emergencies.
Required skills and qualifications

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, medical personnel, and dispatch. Empathy and patience when dealing with patients. Physical ability to assist patients with mobility needs. Time management and prioritization skills. Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and decisively. Familiarity with traffic laws and safe driving practices.
