Job Summary:

Draughtsman - Lighting Design

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our lighting design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, lighting layouts, and CAD-based documentation to support residential, commercial, and hospitality lighting projects. You will work closely with designers, architects, and project managers to translate concepts into precise technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for lighting layouts, fixture placements, electrical plans, and construction documentation. Interpret architectural and interior design drawings and translate them into coordinated lighting design layouts. Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and details. Support lighting designers by converting concepts into professional presentation drawings and construction-ready documentation. Ensure adherence to project deadlines and standards of quality. Maintain version control and organize drawing sets systematically. Collaborate with the procurement and installation teams by providing detailed fixture schedules and mounting details. Coordinate with architects, electrical consultants, and site teams for technical clarifications. Update existing drawings and layouts as required during design revisions.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. 2+ years of drafting experience, preferably in architecture, interior design, or lighting design industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Dialux/Relux is a plus. Good understanding of lighting principles, electrical layouts, and design documentation. Strong attention to detail, precision, and visual presentation. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
