Position: Teacher - Drama (Early Years to Middle School)

Job Title: Teacher - Drama

Contract: Full-time

Location: Sancta Maria International School, Survey No. 106/107, Serlingampally, Hyderabad, India.

Essential Requisites:

o

Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualification.

o

Good understanding of Cambridge syllabus.

o

Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Theatre Arts subject, preferably in Cambridge or IB school.

o

Excellent English language skills.

o

Professional ethics and passion for teaching.

Desirable Criteria:

o

Knowledge of and experience in implementing active learning, differentiated learning and metacognitive strategies in teaching.

o

Completion of Cambridge introductory or extension training in the subject.

o

Ability to source or create different instructional resources and methods to meet varying learner needs.

o

Ability to understand and implement the Scheme of Work for the subject.

o

Dynamic, goal oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

o

Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and relevant resources for the subject on a fortnightly basis.

o

Conduct formative and summative assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.

o

Regular correction of notebooks and assignments.

o

Plan and professionally conduct student progress meetings with parents.

o

Actively participate in the planning and professional learning sessions of the respective department.

o

Plan and organise extension activities to enhance student learning in the discipline.

o

To bring to the notice of the Divisional Head or Department Lead, any challenging issues at the class level.

o

Deliver all non-negotiable tasks defined by the Division and the Subject Department.

o

Be an active member of the school community and support its distinctive vision, ethos and policies.

o

Take ownership of one's own professional and personal development.

o

Successfully deliver any special duties assigned from time to time.
