Job Description

Role Objective:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Mechanical Draftsman/Design Engineer to develop and interpret technical drawings for mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will possess strong CAD expertise, a solid grasp of mechanical design principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams to deliver accurate and manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Drafting:

Prepare accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, including elevation views, using industry-standard CAD software. Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) in accordance with project specifications.

Drawing Interpretation:

Analyze and interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure design intent, functionality, and feasibility. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to align designs with functional and production requirements. Quality Assurance: Ensure all drawings adhere to internal quality standards and comply with industry norms, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical drafting and design.

Technical Proficiency:

Advanced skills in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.). Strong knowledge of drafting practices and industry standards. Hands-on experience with P&IDs, plant layouts, piping and equipment layouts, and pipe rack arrangements.

Soft Skills:

High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
