Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed plumbing shop drawings (water supply, drainage, stormwater, medical gases if applicable). Update drawings based on site conditions, engineer comments, and consultant feedback. Produce as-built drawings upon project completion. Coordinate with plumbing engineers and site supervisors for technical inputs. Ensure alignment with architectural and structural drawings. Attend coordination meetings with other MEP disciplines to resolve drawing conflicts. Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, IS codes, NFPA standards, local authority norms, and hospital-specific requirements. Follow company CAD standards and file management procedures. Check dimensions, levels, and details for accuracy before submission. Revise drawings promptly when instructed. Work efficiently using AutoCAD, Revit (if applicable), and other drafting tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma/ITI certification in Draftsmanship or Mechanical Engineering. 2-4 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems: domestic water supply, drainage, venting, pumps, sump pits, etc. Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit MEP knowledge is an added advantage. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong coordination skills and attention to detail.
