The Draftsman will prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans and layouts (2D/3D) based on engineering/architectural input, for construction, manufacturing or infrastructure projects. They will work closely with engineers, architects and other team-members to ensure drawings meet specifications, standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, as applicable) to create and modify drawings for civil, mechanical, electrical or structural systems. Integra Design Group+1
Translate sketches, specifications, site measurements and conceptual designs into fully detailed drawings. Indeed+1
Collaborate with engineers / architects / design team to ensure drawings reflect design intent, meet standards and include required annotations, dimensions and material specifications. Ven India+1
Conduct site visits (if required) to gather field dimensions, verify existing conditions, capture as-built data and update drawings accordingly. Integra Design Group+1
Review drawings for compliance with relevant codes, standards, specifications and ensure accuracy / completeness. DesignCafe+1
Maintain drawing files, documentation and revision control; assist in preparation of bills of quantities (BOQ), bill of materials (BOM) and other supporting documentation if required. Ven India
Resolve drawing issues, incorporate feedback, track changes and ensure timely delivery of drawings to the relevant stakeholders.
Support design optimisation efforts, suggest improvements in layout/drawing where applicable, and assist junior drafting staff if applicable.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Technology / Architectural Drafting or equivalent qualification. Ven India

Good attention to detail with the ability to read, interpret and create technical drawings and blueprints. Indeed
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with other teams (engineering, site, production).
Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing/construction methods, building codes and standards relevant to the field (civil, mechanical or electrical) depending on domain. NGSL
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Field-visit readiness (if role demands) to take measurements and verify site conditions.
