Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed shop drawings for fire-fighting systems (sprinkler system, hydrant system, pump room layout, hose reels, fire extinguishers, and clean agent systems if applicable). Develop fire alarm and detection system layouts in coordination with ELV teams. Create schematic diagrams, pump room layouts, riser diagrams, and zoning drawings. Prepare as-built drawings after project completion. Update all drawings as per site changes, engineer comments, and consultant instructions. Coordinate with fire protection engineers and site execution teams for design inputs and clarifications. Ensure all drawings comply with NFPA standards, NBC norms, local fire authority regulations, and hospital-specific safety requirements. Follow company drafting standards, layering systems, and documentation control procedures. Verify dimensions, pipe sizes, equipment spacing, and technical details before submission. Ensure all revisions and markups are incorporated promptly.

Qualifications & Skills:

ITI/Diploma in Draftsmanship or Mechanical Engineering. 2-4 years of experience as a Fire Protection Draftsman in an MEP contracting company. Good understanding of fire-fighting systems including sprinklers, hydrants, standpipes, fire pumps, clean agent systems, and fire alarm systems. Ability to interpret design drawings, specifications, and coordination layouts. High attention to detail and accuracy.
