A driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers or goods from one location to another while following traffic laws, maintaining the vehicle, and keeping to assigned schedules.?
Core responsibilities
Operate a car, van, or other vehicle to pick up and drop off passengers or deliver items to specified destinations on time.?
Plan and follow efficient routes using maps or navigation apps, adjusting for traffic or road conditions when necessary.?
Assist with loading and unloading luggage or cargo and provide courteous, professional customer service during each trip.?
Safety and vehicle care
Follow all traffic rules, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe transportation for passengers and goods.?
Perform basic vehicle checks such as monitoring fuel, tires, lights, and fluids, and arrange maintenance or repairs when needed.?
Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and properly documented, including maintaining logs of mileage, fuel, and service records.?
Qualifications
Skills and requirements
Valid driving license for the appropriate vehicle type and a clean or acceptable driving record.?
Good knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and basic vehicle troubleshooting.?
Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills to handle schedules and interact with clients or dispatchers.
