We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining high quality software solutions using the Microsoft .NET stack. The candidate will collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution design.
Develop, deploy and maintain scalable applications using C#, ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core, MVC, WebAPI, Entity Framework, SQL Server.
Write clean, efficient, reusable, well-documented code and follow coding standards and best practices.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, debugging and performance optimisation.
Upgrade and enhance existing applications -- refactor, re-architect, fix defects, improve performance and maintainability.
Integrate with third-party services, external APIs and data sources.
Work with front-end developers (if applicable) to integrate UI components; may involve HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks.
Collaborate with DevOps / infrastructure teams for deployments, CI/CD, version control (Git), monitoring and support.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks and industry trends; share knowledge with the team.
Provide technical guidance / mentoring (depending on size of team) to junior developers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in .NET development using C#.
Strong experience with ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core, MVC architecture, WebAPI, RESTful services.
Hands-on with ObjectOriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, SOLID principles.
Good proficiency in SQL Server (or equivalent relational databases): writing queries, stored procedures, optimisation.
Experience with Entity Framework/Core or similar ORM.
Experience in version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) is a plus.
Good debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams.
Self-motivated, with ability to learn new technologies and work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Exposure to containerisation / orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Working knowledge of microservices architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with NoSQL databases or caching technologies (e.g., Redis).
Prior experience in agile/scrum development environments.
