Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented

Senior .NET Developer

with

5+ years of hands-on experience

in

Classic .NET Framework

and

VB.NET

. The candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications built on Microsoft technologies. The ideal professional should have a solid background in legacy .NET systems, performance optimization, and modernization initiatives, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex applications using

VB.NET

and the

.NET Framework (3.5/4.x)

. Enhance, debug, and refactor existing systems to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. Participate in

modernization and migration

projects, including transitioning applications from Classic .NET Framework to

.NET Core / .NET 6+

where applicable. Collaborate closely with

business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders

to translate requirements into technical solutions. Conduct

code reviews

, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain high code quality standards. Perform

unit testing

, integration testing, and support deployment activities. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. Prepare and maintain detailed

technical documentation

, including design documents and support guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum

5 years of professional experience

in software development using

VB.NET

and

.NET Framework

. Strong expertise in

ASP.NET Web Forms / MVC

,

ADO.NET

, and

Windows Forms

development. Hands-on experience with

SQL Server

-- including queries, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning. Good understanding of

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX

for front-end integration. Proficiency in

IIS configuration, hosting, and application deployment

. Excellent understanding of

object-oriented programming (OOP)

and

software design patterns

(e.g., MVC, layered architecture). Ability to manage and modernize

legacy .NET applications

while adopting newer Microsoft technologies. Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
