Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated

C# Developer

with strong experience in

VSTO or Office JavaScript Add-ins

and hands-on expertise in

.NET Core

. The ideal candidate will work on building, maintaining, and enhancing Microsoft Office Add-ins (PowerPoint/Excel/Word), integrating external data sources, and developing backend services to support these tools.

This role is perfect for someone who loves solving technical challenges, writing clean code, and working on modern, cloud-integrated Office automation products.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Add-In Development

Develop custom

VSTO Add-ins

or

Office.js Web Add-ins

for PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Outlook.

Build interactive task panes, ribbon extensions, and UI components.

Implement features such as data fetching, content insertion, and dynamic shape/chart manipulation.

Ensure add-ins are optimized, lightweight, and follow Microsoft Office extensibility guidelines.

Backend & API Development (Using .NET Core)

Build RESTful APIs and microservices using

ASP.NET Core

.

Integrate add-ins with backend systems (SQL Server, cloud storage, third-party APIs).

Write reusable, scalable, and high-performance server-side code.

Integration & Automation

Interact with external APIs and databases to fetch/store data.

Implement authentication flows (OAuth, Azure AD preferred).

Work on file-handling, metadata extraction, JSON/XML parsing, and automation workflows.

Testing & Debugging

Troubleshoot Office Add-in issues (task panes, COM components, script runtime).

Perform unit and integration testing using tools like xUnit/NUnit.

Optimize performance and ensure cross-version compatibility across Office desktop & web.

Collaboration

Work closely with UI/UX, backend, and QA teams.

Participate in code reviews, sprints, and daily standups.

Contribute to documentation, architecture discussions, and technical improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2-3 years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET development.

Strong knowledge of

VSTO Add-ins

or

Office.js Add-in development

(any Office app is acceptable). Solid experience with

.NET Core / .NET 6+

. Experience working with

Visual Studio IDE

, NuGet packages, and debugging tools. Knowledge of

REST APIs

, JSON, dependency injection, and asynchronous programming. Familiarity with

SQL Server

or similar relational databases. Understanding of

Office object models

, task pane development, and ribbon customization. Strong OOP concepts and clean coding practices.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with

PowerPoint automation

, shape manipulation, and slide generation. Knowledge of

Azure services

(Functions, App Service, Key Vault). Experience with

file processing

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
