The Documentation Engineer will be responsible for preparing, managing, and maintaining all technical documentation related to mechanical and electrical products, systems, and projects. The role involves creating and updating design documents, test reports, compliance files, user manuals, and technical specifications in coordination with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documents such as:
Product specifications
Design and development records
Drawings and schematics
Test reports and validation documents
Installation, operation, and maintenance manuals (IOMs)
Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure all technical documents are updated and accurate.
Ensure documentation complies with internal standards and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, IEC, or other industry standards).
Maintain document control procedures and archives (manual or electronic document management systems).
Support the preparation of documentation for product certifications and approvals.
Assist in generating Bill of Materials (BOM), change notes, and revision histories.
Manage document version control and ensure proper approvals before release.
Prepare reports, presentations, and technical summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise with Quality Assurance for audit and compliance documentation.
Qualifications & Skills Required:Education:
B.Tech / B.E. in
Mechanical Engineering
or
Electrical Engineering
(or related field).
Experience:
0-1 years of experience in technical documentation, design documentation, or related engineering functions.
Fresh graduates with strong technical and writing skills are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of
mechanical or electrical systems
, drawings, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in
MS Office
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management tools.
Familiarity with
AutoCAD

SolidWorks
, or any CAD software (preferred).
Understanding of
