Essential Qualifications (Revised as per your requirement)



Master's degree preferably in Mass Communication / Journalism, OR in Environmental Science, Life Science, Ecology, or related fields.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in documentation, communication, knowledge management, or media handling in the development or environment sector.

Strong writing, storytelling, and editorial skills in English and Bengali.

Proficiency in MS Office, Canva, Photoshop/Adobe tools, and digital content management.

AI-equipped: Ability to use AI tools for content generation, data visualization, photo/video enhancement, transcription, social media optimization, and report drafting.

Experience in social media strategy, media coordination, and SEO-based content (preferred).

Ability to travel to field sites for documentation and communication activities.


Key Responsibilities



1. Documentation & Knowledge Management



Support the development of project documentation: field reports, case studies, success stories, impact notes, monthly/quarterly reports.

Assist in preparing content for newsletters, annual reports, and donor reports.

Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, field data, and communication materials.

Use AI tools to improve documentation speed, accuracy, and quality (AI transcription, summaries, templates, data visualization).


2. Content Creation & Communication



Draft and design communication materials: social media posts, blogs, captions, digital stories, infographics, posters, and basic reports.

Assist in creating visual communication outputs (photo stories, short videos, field documentation reels, etc.).

Ensure consistent branding and follow NEWS communication guidelines.


3. Social Media & Digital Engagement



Support the management of NEWS's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, website updates).

Use AI-based tools for content scheduling, editing, analytics, and SEO improvement.

Track audience engagement and suggest improvements for reach and visibility.


4. Field Documentation



Visit project areas in Sundarban and other districts to collect high-quality photos, videos, interviews, community stories, and on-ground evidence.

Maintain proper metadata (geo-tagging, timestamps, captions, consent documentation).


5. MEAL & Reporting Support



Coordinate with MEAL and project teams to document field activities, outcomes, and evidence.

Assist in drafting donor reports, concept notes, and proposals.

Ensure documentation aligns with NEWS's MEAL framework.


6. Events, Workshops & Media Assistance



Support communication coverage of events, trainings, workshops, and field visits.

Assist in preparing press briefs, event reports, and media coordination when required.

Maintain media contact lists and support outreach activities.


7. Team Coordination & Capacity Support



Assist field teams in developing community stories, visual documentation, and communication material.

Train staff (basic level) on photography, video recording, and use of AI-based documentation tools.


Skills & Competencies



Strong communication, creativity, and attention to detail.

Ability to work with multimedia and AI-enhanced documentation tools.

Ability to work independently and in remote field settings.

Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.


Benefits
