Create high-quality installation documentation for accessories

Join NKT's Accessories business line in Gurugram and help power a greener future by turning complex engineering into clear, safe, and accessible instructions. As a Document Specialist in Applied Engineering, you'll design and adapt installation instructions and technical documentation for power cable accessories, collaborating with cross?functional teams to ensure quality, consistency, and customer focus. You'll work closely with Design Engineers, Technical Service Specialists, Order Specialists, and Trainers to deliver accurate, timely, and standardized content that supports installers worldwide. Design and deliver technical installation documentation

In this role, you'll design, rework, and revise installation instructions and related documents for cable accessories, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with NKT's structure and processes. You'll craft the sequence text in English and create or adapt images that make procedures intuitive and safe. By collaborating closely with Design Engineering and Technical Service, you'll translate bill of materials (BOM) inputs into actionable documentation, provide feedback when data is unclear, and ensure continuous enhancements in cost, time, and quality within your responsibility area. Your work will directly affect installation quality and customer satisfaction across global projects.


Your responsibility will be to:

Design and publish installation instructions for power cable accessories aligned to NKT standards. Rework and adapt existing instructions to meet specific order needs and product variants. Create/adapt images and write installation sequences in English for clarity and safety. Save, revise, and control documents per the defined structure, process, and approvals. Collaborate with Design/Technical Service; feedback when BOM is unclear and improve.

You are a structured, focused, and open?minded individual who enjoys turning technical complexity into simple, inclusive, and accurate instructions. With a customer focus, you ensure every step is clear, safe, and accessible. You thrive in intercultural environments and communicate effectively across departments. You're comfortable with deadlines, systematic processes, and version control, and you bring a continuous improvement mindset--spotting opportunities to enhance cost, time, quality, and efficiency. Collaboration engages you, and you value feedback loops with design and service teams to deliver documentation that enables safe installation, reliable operation, and a positive customer experience.


You also have:

5-8 years' experience in engineering, development, installation of cable accessories, or technical documentation. Background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or cable accessories installation. Fluency in spoken and written English. Proficiency in MS Office and document control workflows. Experience working in cross?functional teams or projects. Exposure to InDesign, Illustrator, or CAD software.
