Position: Project Support Document Controller & Draft Man



Qualification: B. Tech (Mechanical)



Location: Sambalpur, Odisha



Industry Preference:

Project management within the construction or engineering industries.

Job / Activity / KRA



1. Project Planning and Scheduling
a) Work along with PMO consultant to prepare detailed project schedules, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
b) Coordinate and consolidate input from various engineering, construction, and procurement teams to create comprehensive plans.
2. Resource Management
a) Work with project teams to allocate resources (labor, equipment, and materials) effectively based on project requirements.
3. Collaboration with cross functional team.
a) Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure coordination and alignment on project schedules.
b) Attend project meetings to provide updates on schedule progress.
4. Progress Monitoring and reporting
a) Prepare and Provide regular progress reports to Sub Lead - PMO, Project manager - PMO, Project heads ,stakeholders, including identifying any deviations from the plan.
b) Monitor project schedules and resources to identify any potential cost overruns or inefficiencies due to scheduling delays.

5. Documentation and Reporting


a) Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning and scheduling documentation.


b) Document and communicate any changes to the project plan to ensure all stakeholders are informed.


6. Continuous improvement



Job Brief



The Project Engineer - Planner is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and managing the project schedule and planning activities for entire project. This role requires the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project timelines, resources, and activities are properly planned, tracked, and executed.
The Project Engineer - Planner monitors and updates the engineering, procurement and construction schedule as per plan for Smelter & CPP project areas. Proactive identification of risks affecting the planned schedule and informing Sub lead PMO and Project Manager - PMO for timely actions.

5-7 years

Job Specific Technical Skill


Must Haves



1. Expertise in project scheduling techniques, including the ability to develop, manage, and track detailed project timelines and milestones.
2. Understanding of scheduling software (e.g., MS projects, Primavera P6, MS Project) to update project schedules.
3. Construction and Engineering Knowledge.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts to incorporate into project schedules.
4. Knowledge of resource management principles to effectively allocate manpower, equipment, and materials.
5.Understanding of change management.
6. Proficiency in Documentation and Reporting.
