Oversee data entry and ensure accuracy and integrity of all sales-related information in the DMS, including customer details, vehicle inventory, sales transactions, and financing information.
Implement and enforce standardized data entry procedures and protocols.
Participate in the testing and deployment of DMS updates and enhancements.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate regular and ad-hoc sales reports from the DMS, including sales performance, lead tracking, inventory status, and customer relationship management metrics.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Develop and customize reports to meet the specific needs of the sales team and management.
Contribute to the development of sales strategies based on data-driven insights from the DMS.
Sales Process Optimization:
Utilize the DMS to streamline and optimize the car sales process, from lead management to deal closing.
Ensure the sales team effectively uses the DMS for lead tracking, follow-ups, and customer communication.
Identify and recommend improvements to DMS workflows to enhance sales efficiency and productivity.
Support the integration of the DMS with other relevant software and tools used by the dealership (e.g., CRM systems, marketing platforms).
Compliance and Data Governance:
Ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures regarding DMS usage and data management.
Adhere to data privacy regulations and maintain the confidentiality of customer information stored in the DMS.
Participate in data cleansing and data quality initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience (typically 1-5 years) working with DMS in a car dealership environment, preferably in a role supporting sales operations.
Strong understanding of the car sales process and dealership operations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
Proficiency in generating reports and dashboards using DMS software.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and adapt to new software features.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively train and support users.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with CRM systems and other sales-related technologies is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
