Duty Medical Officer (DMO)

Job Summary

The Duty Medical Officer is responsible for providing immediate medical care, clinical assessment, and emergency management of patients during assigned duty hours. The DMO ensures continuous medical coverage, supports hospital operations, and coordinates patient care with consultants and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for inpatients and outpatients Handle medical and surgical emergencies during duty hours Admit, monitor, and manage patients as per hospital protocols Perform routine medical procedures and initial stabilization of critical patients Coordinate with consultants and specialists for referrals and escalations Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records and documentation Supervise and guide nursing and paramedical staff during shifts Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements Participate in ward rounds and handover processes Communicate effectively with patients and their families

Qualifications & Requirements

MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution Valid medical council registration/license 0-3 years of clinical experience (as per hospital requirement) Knowledge of emergency medicine and basic life support (BLS/ACLS preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
