The ideal candidate will assist in diagnosing and monitoring diseases by analysing patient samples with accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. This role plays a key part in supporting physicians with timely and reliable lab results.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and process blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other biological samples
Conduct laboratory tests such as haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including analysers and microscopes
Prepare reagents and ensure their proper storage and labelling
Record test results accurately and enter data into laboratory information systems (LIS)
Ensure strict adherence to quality control procedures and infection control practices
Assist in maintaining laboratory inventory and ordering supplies as needed
Follow protocols for waste disposal and laboratory safety
Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding urgent and routine test results
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in handling patient data and specimens
Educational Qualifications:
Diploma or Graduation in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
from a recognized institute
Must be registered with the relevant paramedical or state council (if applicable)
