The DM Plant Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the Demineralization Plant. This includes monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment involved in water treatment processes to ensure high-quality demineralized water supply for industrial use.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain DM plant systems, including:
Multi-grade filters (MGF)
Activated carbon filters (ACF)
Softener units
Cation/Anion exchange units
Mixed Bed units (MB)
RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems (if applicable)
Monitor plant parameters and water quality at different stages using instruments (TDS, pH meter, conductivity meter, etc.)
Regenerate ion exchange resins as per schedule or requirement.
Maintain proper chemical dosing (antiscalant, acid, alkali, chlorine, etc.)
Record operational data, water quality results, and chemical consumption.
Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, and backwashing of filters and resins.
Troubleshoot and report malfunctions or abnormal readings.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.
Maintain housekeeping and hygiene in the plant area.
Coordinate with the maintenance team during breakdowns or preventive maintenance.
Assist in inventory management of chemicals and spare parts.
