About the Role

We are building a groundbreaking

food delivery cum food influencer platform

, and we need a talented Backend Developer Intern to take full ownership of designing and building the backend system from the ground up using Django.

As the sole backend creator, you will be responsible for architecting and developing all backend services that power:

Multi-role user management (Customers, Delivery Personnel, Food Influencers, Restaurants) Restaurant and menu management with dynamic food item listings Comprehensive order lifecycle: creation, processing, tracking, and delivery status updates Influencer content features: posting, engagement (likes, comments), and follower systems Secure authentication and authorization (preferably JWT) API design to seamlessly integrate with frontend and mobile clients (Optional) Payment gateway integration, delivery assignment automation, and notifications
This role requires a developer with solid experience in

full-stack projects

, capable of independently managing backend architecture, code quality, database design, and deployment considerations.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience building and maintaining full-stack applications or complex backend systems Strong knowledge of Python and Django/Django REST Framework Solid understanding of REST API design, database schema modeling, and authentication mechanisms Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM best practices Comfortable owning the backend codebase and making architecture decisions Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Good communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently

Bonus Skills

Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Vue) to better coordinate full-stack integration Knowledge of Docker, Celery, and asynchronous task handling Experience deploying backend services on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) Familiarity with payment integrations and webhooks
