Oversee the day-to-day operations of the biomedical service and maintenance division.
Lead a team of biomedical engineers and technicians responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules in compliance with healthcare standards and manufacturers' recommendations.
Ensure timely resolution of service requests and breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain service documentation, equipment history, and compliance records.
Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers to ensure service excellence.
Ensure compliance with local and international healthcare equipment standards (e.g., ISO 13485, NABH, FDA, CE).
Manage contracts for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMCs).
Monitor inventory and procurement of spare parts, tools, and test equipment.
Train and upskill service staff on new technologies and safety protocols.
Develop service KPIs and prepare periodic performance reports for senior management.
Support audits, safety inspections, and quality control initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
8-10 years of experience in biomedical equipment service and maintenance, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, monitors, imaging systems, laboratory instruments).
Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and technical documentation.
Strong leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality assurance.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in biomedical equipment maintenance or quality systems (e.g., CBET, ISO auditor).
Experience managing field service teams across multiple locations.
Proficiency in tools like SAP, Microsoft Office, and service tracking systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service protocols
