Job Summary:

The District HR - Scholarship Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing the student selection process for educational scholarships within the assigned district. This role ensures transparency, fairness, and adherence to the organization's scholarship policies. The role involves coordination with schools, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to identify deserving candidates based on academic performance, financial need, and other eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage district-level outreach strategies to promote the scholarship program in schools and communities.

Coordinate with school principals, teachers, and local education departments to gather nominations and applications.

Review student applications and verify supporting documents such as income certificates, academic records, and ID proof.

Conduct interviews or organize selection committees as required to evaluate applicants.

Maintain accurate records of applications, shortlisted students, and final awardees.

Ensure compliance with scholarship eligibility criteria and organizational policies.

Provide regular reports to the Regional Office/Program Director regarding the selection status and impact.

Handle queries from students, parents, and schools regarding the scholarship process.

Facilitate award distribution events and ensure proper documentation of fund disbursement.

Monitor selected students' academic progress and follow up with schools when required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).

1-5 years of experience in HR, education programs, or community outreach.

Familiarity with scholarship or student assistance programs is a plus.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to travel within the district as needed.

Fluency in local language(s) and English.
