District Head, Government of Punjab Job Summary As the District Head for Education Programs, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the implementation of various educational initiatives and projects within the government of Punjab. Reporting directly to the Program Head, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution and coordination of education programs at the district level. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and effective communication to achieve the government\xe2\x80\x99s educational objectives and drive positive impacts in the region. Key Responsibilities:

• Program Implementation: Oversee the execution of education programs and policies set by the government of Punjab within the district. Ensure that these initiatives are implemented effectively and efficiently, adhering to the allocated budget and timelines.
• Resource Management: Collaborate with the Program Head to allocate resources appropriately for each project, ensuring adequate funding, manpower, and materials required for smooth program implementation.
• Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with various stakeholders, including local authorities, schools, community leaders, and non-governmental organisations. Encourage collaboration and ensure all parties work together towards common educational goals.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the state wide reform programmes, aligning project objectives with broader educational and societal goals.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyse relevant data related to the impact and progress of education programs in the district. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for the Program Head, government officials, and other stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed improvements.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of education being provided under different programs. Report the flags to the program head.
• Team Leadership and Development: Manage a diverse team of 10-12 professionals including fellows fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree with at least 6-8 years of work experience in consulting/government/education sectors
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), experience in documentation, writing reports, proposals, and presentation skills
• Analytically strong, with an ability to understand, work with, and draw insights from data; familiarity with data analysis tools
• Ability to coordinate between and build relationships with various stakeholders within the government and with partner organisations
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment, and maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate multiple simultaneous projects
• Strong project management skills \xe2\x80\x93 prioritisation, setting goals, assessing progress and course-correction
• Demonstrated commitment to social impact/prior experience working in the social sector
• Innovative thinker with a strong interest in developing new ideas and championing those initiatives with senior stakeholders
