District Coordinator - Water Project

Master's degree in

Earth Sciences / Natural Resources Management / Social Sciences / Environmental Studies / Rural Development

- Mid-Level District Expert

Reports to State Coordinator

To ensure

effective district-level coordination, implementation support, capacity building, and reporting

for Water project interventions.

Act as the nodal DEVELOPMENT AGENCY representative in the assigned district.

Liaise with district administration, line departments, and field-level stakeholders.

Support roll-out of project activities and interventions at district level.

Facilitate trainings, workshops, and capacity-building programmes for district officials and stakeholders.

Prepare district-specific progress reports, case studies, and documentation inputs.

Organise and facilitate district-level steering committee meetings, workshops, and reviews.

Provide need-based implementation and coordination support to district authorities and DEVELOPMENT AGENCY teams.

Master's degree in

Earth Sciences / Natural Resources Management / Social Sciences / Environmental Studies / Rural Development

or equivalent.

Minimum

5 years

of experience in

natural resources management, rural development, water-related or sustainability programmes

.

Minimum

3 years

of experience working with

public or government-supported programmes in India

.

Minimum

3 years

in

development cooperation or donor-funded projects

.

Not mandatory; however, coordination and facilitation experience is desirable.

Hindi - C2 English - C1 Regional language - Marathi/ Gujrati/ Kannada - C2
Field coordination, facilitation skills, documentation, stakeholder engagement, communication.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: ?400,000.00 - ?800,000.00 per year

Experience:

5 yrs exp natural resources, water, rural development: 5 years (Required) 3 yrs for govt led program: 3 years (Required) yrs EXP FOR PROJECT ON FUNDED ADB, WORLD BANK ETC: 3 years (Required)
