Role Summary:
The District Coordinator will be responsible for managing the block-level implementation of the
District School Hygiene Education Program (DSHEP)
and the
Non-Communicable Disease Prevention, Education, Referral, and Treatment (NCD PERT)
program. The role entails ensuring smooth execution, coordination, and monitoring of both health and hygiene-related interventions across schools and communities in the district.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management and Implementation
? Supervise and guide volunteers, community mobilizers, and health educators in assigned blocks.
? Ensure seamless coordination of school visits, teacher training sessions, and awareness campaigns under both DSHEP and NCD PERT.
? Facilitate hygiene kit distribution, installation of hygiene corners, soap banks, and murals in schools.
? Support the rollout of NCD screening, awareness, and referral activities across the district.
? Ensure health screening camps, referral linkages, and follow-up of identified NCD patients are implemented effectively.
Monitoring and Reporting
? Collect, validate, and compile field data from both DSHEP and NCD PERT programs for MIS reporting.
? Track block-level progress, ensuring timely completion of program targets and deliverables.
? Maintain accurate documentation of activities, inventories, and reports.
? Monitor quality of implementation and provide field-level feedback to improve program outcomes.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
? Organize and facilitate parent meetings, WASH Day events, and community awareness campaigns.
? Conduct stakeholder and inter-departmental coordination meetings for better program synergy.
? Engage with local schools, health departments, and panchayat representatives to strengthen participation.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
? 100% school visits as per monthly plan.
? 100% hygiene kit distribution and hygiene corner/mural installations in assigned blocks.
? 100% NCD screening coverage in identified schools and communities.
? 100% data accuracy in MIS submissions.
? 100% completion of teacher training, awareness sessions, and community meetings.
Deliverables:
? Weekly field monitoring and activity reports.
? Monthly school and community engagement summaries.
? Inventory and asset tracking reports for both programs.
? Consolidated district-level NCD and DSHEP progress reports.
? Feedback from school authorities, health workers, and community members.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
? Graduate in Social Work, Public Health, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
? Minimum 3-5 years of experience in community health, school health, or hygiene programs.
? Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
? Proficiency in MS Office and data management tools.
? Ability to travel extensively within the district and work with diverse stakeholders.
