Job Description

The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. The role involves managing dispatch staff, coordinating with drivers and warehouse teams, monitoring vehicle movement, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch operations. Plan, schedule, and allocate vehicles for timely deliveries. Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with delivery schedules. Track shipments and update customers or internal teams about delivery status. Manage dispatch staff, assign tasks, and resolve operational issues. Ensure proper documentation of dispatch activities (invoices, challans, delivery notes). Optimize routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Maintain communication between warehouse, transport, and customer service teams. Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and legal standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in dispatch, transport, or logistics operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of dispatch management systems / ERP software. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport regulations.
