Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Dispatch Planning & Execution:

Plan and execute daily and weekly dispatch schedules for PEB components, coordinating with the Production, Quality Control (QC), and Stores/Warehouse departments to ensure material readiness.

Logistics & Transportation Management:

Oversee the loading, stacking, and securing of PEB components (which can be large and heavy). Manage transporters, negotiate freight charges, book loads, and track vehicles to ensure timely delivery.

Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure all necessary documentation, including delivery challans (DC), invoices, e-way bills, and packing lists, is accurately prepared and processed. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and relevant transportation laws (e.g., DOT regulations if applicable).

Supervision & Team Management:

Lead, train, and mentor the dispatch and loading teams, fostering a safety-conscious environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance as needed.

Inventory & Quality Control:

Coordinate with inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure all outgoing goods are inspected for quality and accuracy before dispatch.

Problem-Solving & Communication:

Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to deliveries, such as delays or damage, and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams (sales, project management).

Reporting & Process Improvement:

Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities and prepare regular reports for management highlighting performance metrics, delays, or opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

Experience:

3 To 5 years of experience in dispatch or logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably within the steel or manufacturing industry, with strong knowledge of PEB components.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is often preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in dispatch management software,

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
