Job Description

A dispatch supervisor manages the dispatch team and ensures the efficient and safe execution of a company's dispatch and logistics. Their responsibilities include:

Dispatch team management

Supervising the dispatch team, providing coaching and work instructions, and ensuring the dispatch routing software is used efficiently

Data entry

Ensuring dispatchers enter company and customer data into the transportation software

Load planning

Working with load planners and outside carriers to ensure dispatchers execute load plans efficiently

Communication

Communicating with customers, sales representatives, and carriers about pick up and delivery information

Incident reporting

Reporting accidents and incidents to the relevant departments

Training

Ensuring dispatchers are properly trained and oriented to the company, job, and industry requirements

Record keeping

Maintaining records of dispatched calls, employee productivity, and vehicle and equipment maintenance

Transportation regulations

Keeping track of transportation regulations

Project management

Planning and tracking project man hours to ensure customer budgets are adhered to

Performance monitoring

Monitoring dispatcher calls to ensure optimal performance and professionalism

Driver scheduling

Scheduling driver work hours, downtime, and lunch breaks

Statistical data

Summarizing statistical data such as the number of rides provided, service hours, and mileage

Pay: From ?20,000.00 per month
