A Dispatch In-charge (Heavy Machinery) is responsible for coordinating the dispatch and delivery of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring efficient and timely operations. This role involves managing schedules, communicating with drivers and other personnel, handling logistics, and maintaining accurate records. They also play a crucial role in customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or delays related to the dispatch process.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Coordination:
Creating and managing dispatch schedules for heavy machinery, ensuring optimal utilization and on-time delivery.
Communication and Liaison:
Maintaining clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams to coordinate movements and resolve any issues.
Logistics Management:
Planning efficient routes, managing transportation, and coordinating loading and unloading of heavy equipment.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of dispatches, including schedules, delivery confirmations, and any relevant documentation.
Problem Solving:
Addressing any challenges or delays that may arise during the dispatch process, finding solutions to ensure smooth operations.
Compliance:
Ensuring all dispatches comply with relevant regulations and safety standards for heavy machinery transportation.
Customer Service:
Addressing customer inquiries and concerns related to dispatch, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Team Supervision:
In some cases, supervising a team of drivers, dispatchers, or other personnel involved in the dispatch process.
