We're Hiring: Experienced Drayage Dispatcher - NY/NJ Port

We are looking for a skilled

Drayage Dispatcher

with at least 1 year of experience handling East Coast operations (NY/NJ port). If you have a strong understanding of port operations, chassis management, and container movements, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

- Plan, schedule, and dispatch loads efficiently for NY/NJ port drayage operations.
- Coordinate with drivers, brokers, and customers to ensure timely pickups & deliveries.
- Monitor container availability, terminal cutoffs, and free time to avoid storage/demurrage.
- Manage chassis reservations, track equipment availability, and ensure proper usage.
- Handle appointment scheduling for port terminals and warehouses.
- Troubleshoot any delays, port holds, or driver-related issues in real-time.
- Maintain compliance with SCAC codes, interchange agreements, and port regulations.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and submitted accurately.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status and delays.
- Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of drayage dispatch experience in NY/NJ port operations.
- Strong knowledge of port terminals, container yards, and steamship lines.
- Experience with port booking systems and dispatch software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
