Key Responsibilities:
1. Dispatch Planning & Coordination
Plan and execute dispatches as per customer orders and project timelines.
Coordinate with production, stores, and sales for material readiness.
Monitor packing and loading activities to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain dispatch schedule and ensure targets are met.
2. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare delivery challans, packing lists, invoices, and e-way bills.
Ensure all dispatch documents (inspection reports, road permits, gate passes) are complete.
Update ERP/SAP systems with dispatch details and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate with Accounts for invoice generation and payment clearance before dispatch.
3. Logistics & Transport Management
Arrange suitable transport vehicles (trailers, trucks, etc.) for boiler dispatches.
Coordinate with transporters for timely pickup, delivery, and unloading.
Ensure cost-effective and safe transportation of heavy components.
Track shipments and provide delivery updates to concerned departments.
4. Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure packaging and loading follow company and statutory safety norms.
Verify material quantity, identification, and inspection clearance before dispatch.
Conduct pre-dispatch checks to prevent damages and shortages.
5. Coordination & Communication
Communicate dispatch status to sales, production, and project teams.
Liaise with inspection authorities and customers for dispatch approvals.
Handle transporter and customer queries related to delivery and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
Experience:
2-3 years in dispatch/logistics within boiler or engineering manufacturing.
Knowledge:
Tally Prime systems and dispatch documentation.
Transport compliance, GST, and e-way bill generation.
Handling and transport of heavy engineering goods.
Key Skills:
Good coordination and communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational abilities.
Accuracy in documentation and record maintenance.
Negotiation and vendor management (transporters).
Knowledge of industrial safety and packaging standards.
