Dispatch Executive (Automotive Industry)

Role Overview

The Dispatch Executive plays a critical role in managing the flow of vehicles, spare parts, or finished goods from the plant to customers and distributors. This position ensures that dispatch operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle & Goods Dispatch Management

Plan, schedule, and oversee the dispatch of vehicles, spare parts, or automotive products. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers, dealers, or warehouses.

Logistics Coordination

Liaise with transporters, drivers, warehouse teams, and sales departments to streamline dispatch operations. Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or discrepancies.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain dispatch records, invoices, and delivery notes. Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Operational Efficiency

Implement dispatch policies and procedures to improve turnaround time. Track KPIs such as delivery accuracy, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.

Customer & Dealer Communication

Provide updates on dispatch status to dealers and customers. Handle complaints or issues related to delivery and logistics.

Team Supervision

Lead and train dispatch staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators. Assign tasks and monitor performance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

automotive logistics and supply chain management

. Excellent

communication and coordination skills

. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple dispatches simultaneously. Proficiency in

ERP systems, MS Excel, and dispatch tracking tools

. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma with 3-5 years of experience in dispatch/logistics within the automotive industry. Familiarity with

transport regulations, vehicle handling, and warehouse operations
