CTG is seeking to fill a Directory Services Specialist position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 2 months
Duties:
Serve as the subject matter expert for Domain Services infrastructure, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
Manage and maintain directory services, including LDAP, WINS, FSMO roles, and GPO management.
Audit and manage user privileges and access permissions across enterprise environments.
Develop and execute Disaster Recovery strategies, ensuring reliable backup and recovery processes for directory services.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate directory services with other applications and systems.
Plan, test, and execute upgrades, patches, and hardening efforts to maintain a secure and stable directory environment.
Work closely with the SOC team to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors.
Support and maintain hybrid environments, ensuring synchronization between on-premises and cloud-based directory services.
Leverage PowerShell scripting for automation of administrative and operational tasks.
Skills:
Entra Hardening (Required)
Expert knowledge of Entra Conditional Access Policies
Expert knowledge of Entra Orphan Account Cleanup
Expert knowledge of Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
In-depth knowledge of LDAP, WINS, FSMO Roles, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Strong understanding of hybrid identity and cloud-based directory synchronization
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for directory management and automation
Experience:
Proven experience in managing complex on-premises and cloud-based directory services environments.
Demonstrated expertise in directory hardening, security management, and access policy enforcement.
Hands-on experience integrating directory services with enterprise systems and applications.
Experience supporting both cloud-only and hybrid environments using Entra (Azure AD).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $86.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
