Job Summary
: Seeking a visionary Director of Technical Construction to spearhead technical excellence and innovation. The Director of Technical Construction provides strategic leadership for all technical aspects of construction projects, from conceptualization to commissioning. This executive role drives engineering standards, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality benchmarks, aligning with India's booming urban development goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical planning, design validation, and quality across projects.
Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction teams; manage subcontractor performance, bid evaluations, cost controls, scheduling, and on-site resolutions for seamless project execution.
Develop and enforce company-wide technical standards, safety protocols, and sustainable practices; mentor engineers and conduct risk assessments to mitigate challenges.
Required Skills and Competencies
Advanced proficiency in civil engineering principles, BIM/CAD software, construction methodologies, and Indian building codes.
Exceptional leadership to build high-performing teams, negotiate with stakeholders, and resolve complex technical disputes with strategic foresight.
Strong expertise in project management, financial models, vendor relations, and innovation in areas like green construction and digital tools.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
12+ years in construction with 5+ years in senior technical leadership, managing multimillion-rupee projects in India.
Proven track record in public-private partnerships, audits, and high-stakes deliveries; MBA or PMP certification advantageous.
