We are seeking a visionary and hands-on
Director - Talent Strategy & Acquisition
to lead the design and execution of end-to-end talent strategies for a complex, high-growth financial services organization. This role goes beyond recruitment--it's about shaping leadership pipelines, building specialist capabilities, and positioning the organization as an employer of choice in BFSI and fintech verticals.
You will partner with senior leaders, boards, and functional heads to translate business goals into actionable talent strategies while mentoring a high-performing TA team to deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Acquisition
Lead the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy across leadership, senior management, and niche specialist roles within BFSI (banking, NBFC, insurance, fintech, risk, compliance, and technology).
Design scalable frameworks for rapid hiring, ensuring alignment with business expansion, transformation, and succession plans.
Own workforce planning initiatives to proactively identify talent gaps and future leadership needs.
Executive Search & Leadership Hiring
Drive high-impact executive search for CXO, business heads, and critical leadership roles.
Partner closely with boards and senior executives to define leadership requirements, competencies, and succession priorities.
Ensure rigorous, structured assessment, selection, and closure processes for top-tier talent.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory
Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing insights on talent markets, compensation benchmarking, and competitive intelligence.
Influence hiring decisions through data-driven insights, market intelligence, and talent trend analysis.
Advise on organizational design, role structuring, and leadership readiness.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Talent Acquisition function with clear ownership and accountability.
Optimize hiring processes, candidate experience, employer branding, and TA metrics (TAT, quality of hire, cost per hire).
Implement technology-enabled hiring processes using ATS platforms, analytics, and recruitment automation tools.
Talent Governance & Collaboration
Partner with HRBPs on succession planning, internal mobility, and leadership development programs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards relevant to BFSI hiring.
Cultivate strong relationships with search firms, consultants, and external partners to expand talent access.
Qualifications & Experience
12+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with extensive exposure to leadership hiring and executive search.
Proven track record in BFSI talent markets (banking, insurance, NBFC, fintech, asset management).
Experience leading TA functions in large, complex organizations with multi-geography operations.
Deep understanding of talent trends, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations in BFSI.
