We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonalds Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.Based in Hyderabad, India, this role will sit in one of McDonalds Global offices. Our new office in Hyderabad will bring together knowledge across business, technology, analytics, and AI, accelerating our ability to deliver impactful solutions for the business and our customers across the globe.Reporting into the Sr Director of Enabling Services, this role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Lead of the IS&P Analyst team. Early on, this role will play a major part in co-creating the strategy for talent development of the new IS&P Analyst team. This role will be expected to oversee and prioritize the allocation of junior resources in a high quality, effective, and efficient manner across a large book of work including sourcing, contracting, invoice handling and procurement operations. This role is ultimately accountable for ensuring resources meet the required competencies for IS&P capabilities and employing leading practices on a fit-for-purpose basis. It is expected that this role works closely with IS&P leaders leads to align the team with their strategic priorities, allocate capacity based on need and enable the resources to experience different capabilities across IS&P based on interests, skill gaps, and business needs.Key responsibilities will include shaping the strategy for the development of the IS&P Analyst Team, managing the day-to-day operations of 10+ junior resources, guiding and mentoring professionals as they develop their skills, and ensuring they gain comprehensive experience in diverse procurement areas. As the Director, you will foster a culture of learning in collaboration with the Learning & Development team, provide leadership and direction, and build a solid foundation for developing IS&P team membersKey Responsibilities:

  • IS&P Analyst Team Strategy & Development: In collaboration with functional leadership, set the strategy and planning for the new Analyst team. Weigh in on the structure and career pathing planned for the team, improving where appropriate to enable the optimal junior talent experience and skill development.
  • IS&P Analyst Team Leadership:Oversee the successful design, execution, and continuous improvement of the IS&P Analyst Team by leading the hiring, performance evaluation, management and development planning of junior staff in the function
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support junior resources to ensure they gain exposure and hands-on experience across various procurement disciplines (e.g., strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, procurement analytics, etc.). Manage the allocation of resources across capabilities by analyzing historical demand and shifts in projected capacity requirements / book of wor
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with leaders within IS&P to understand their needs and create tailored plans that deliver value across their individual category strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring the junior resources have opportunities to interact with leaders and experts across the organization
  • Training Development:Partner with HR and L&D to identify training needs and growth opportunities within the Analyst team, ensuring the development of future sourcing leaders and building a best-in-class function.
  • Performance Excellence:Develop and manage tracking systems to monitor the performance, progress, and development of each rotational participant.Define performance targets for the Analyst team and drive accountability against targets
  • Continuous Improvement:Support continuous improvement efforts, evaluating sourcing processes, performance metrics, and benchmarks to optimize sourcing outcomes.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-year degree, MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement and/or supply chain in a highly complex environment and Global landscape
  • 3+ years proven experience in leading, managing, and developing teams. Experience working in diverse, multicultural teams or with international stakeholders, showing excellent communication skills
  • Experience in conducting influential discussions with executive leaders
