Overview:
Mastercard is looking for a talented Director Software Engineer to join the Mastercard Connect team in Pune (India) location thats focussed on building solutions supporting the Connect ecosystem.
The Role:
The ideal candidate will be technically proficient with strong experience leading engineering teams. They will have full software lifecycle experience and a strong track record of delivery from initial concept and design, to implementation and ultimately production.
Responsibilities
xc2xb7 Provide technical leadership for the development of the Connect platform architecture.
xc2xb7 Partner with Business and Product Owners to prioritize enhancements and drive strategic decisions.
xc2xb7 Manage multiple software development teams
xc2xb7 Recruit and retain top talent in the team
xc2xb7 Identify process gaps and suggest and implement improvements.
xc2xb7 Drive culture of continuous improvement on the team.
xc2xb7 Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to enable a high-performing team.
Skills
xc2xb7 10+ years of engineering experience (development or devops) and significant management experience.
xc2xb7 Strong understanding of software best practices.
xc2xb7 Ability to drive architectural change which balances technical and business priorities
xc2xb7 Be a champion of engineering and operational excellence: developing organizational metrics for measurement of engineering and performance excellence.
xc2xb7 Ability to navigate a complex global organization.
xc2xb7 Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
xc2xb7 Experience databases, PCF and Java Frameworks
